Program Details
The Malton Youth Wellness Hub is one of the 13 Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario sites in the province. The site is a “one-stop-shop” for youth aged 12-25, to address their needs related to mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing and other community and social services.
Services are provided by a Youth Wellness Team that is made up of Malton Neighbourhood Services employees and partner agencies.
Peer Support
One-on-one support and counselling provided by a Peer Support Worker, who works with youth to establish and work toward goals, develop recovery plans, coping methods, and wellness strategies. As well, provides support with arranging medical appointments, therapy sessions, support groups, and other resources to aid youth.

Mental Health Counselling
Individual therapy sessions with a regulated mental health professional to address the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional aspects of mental health.

Substance Use Counselling
One-on-one support to help youth experiencing drug or alcohol addiction.

Primary Care Services
Disease prevention, management and treatment, as well as rehabilitation and health promotion.

Employment Support
Workshops and one-on-one support in the areas of employment and life skills necessary for youth to achieve long-term employment, meaningful careers and a successful future.
