At Malton Neighbourhood Services we recognize that our volunteers contribute to the success of our organization by bringing individual skills, strengths and ideas.
We encourage volunteer engagement because we understand the importance of applying skills, gaining experiences, meeting new people and staying involved and informed with what is going on in your community.
Over the years MNS has provided student placement opportunities for college and university students to complete the requirements for their program coursework. High school students are also able to complete their volunteer hours in order to graduate.
Some opportunities for volunteering at MNS include:
- Supporting programs such as the Homework Club, LINC and the EarlyON program;
- Contributing to community event planning;
- Community outreach to promote events;
- Membership on committees: MNS Board of Directors and the Malton Community Building Project Network.
