Program Details

This program offers supports that enable clients in achieving employment success in line with their professional and career goals and objectives. Supports begin with a career needs assessment and the creation of a short-term action plan that guides clients to employment and career success.

Clients learn about current labor market trends, job cultures and standards and how to conduct effective job searching using key pre-employment tools and skills. They learn how to create their own professional resumes and cover letters, conduct successful job interviews and how to use LinkedIn and other social media as essential job seeking tools.

Clients also receive ongoing career and job searching counselling. The goal is to help clients connect with employment opportunities in line with their professional training, work experience and career goals and objectives. We also provide information and referrals with respect to other supportive programs and services as needed, including information on professional accreditation and career bridging programs that can accelerate clients’ employment success.
