Every October, Children Aid Societies, in partnership with social service organizations, government, and community members across Ontario run a provincial awareness campaign called Dress Purple Day. Since its inception, many of you have been such strong advocates in recognition of this special day.

This year on October 27,

we dress purple to show families facing challenges that we care, and we can help. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the supports that are available and how to access them.

Together with our community partners, our team at Peel Children’s Aid Society will be championing this cause throughout Peel Region showcasing videos of support, lighting our city buildings in purple, hosting a Dress Purple Duty to Report and keeping the conversation going through our social media channels.

What can you do? Help us spread the word!

Throughout the month of October we invite you to create a video, share your photos, join the conversation online and tell us why you will be dressing purple on October 27 for children and youth in Peel.

Be sure to like, follow, tag and share with us using #DressPurple2020 and #IDressPurpleBecause on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Help us raise awareness of the supports available to families in our community.
