On November 7th, 2019, Jaskaranjit Grewal was honoured with the ‘Soul of a Warrior Award’ by the Woman Abuse Council of Toronto (WomanACT) for her dedication to serving women and children survivors of domestic abuse. She truly represents the spirit of Malton Neighbourhood Services by her customary going beyond all calls of duty in serving the many who sought her help.
In her own words, “One should never miss any opportunity to do good!” Jaskaran lives by these words every day in her work and by actively advocating for those unheard voices that speak to her in confidence about their pain and suffering. She continues to provide one-on-one supports, family advocacy and referrals based on a thorough understanding of clients’ needs and in her everyday quest to uplift their quality of life.”
