On March 1st, 2019, the Black Family Support Program (BFSP) engaged the community, parents and caregivers in a knowledge exchange about attachment and the significance of spending time to bond with each other and our children. We had over 18 parent/caregiver participants.
On March 16th we followed up with a workshop focusing on interactions between children and their caregivers. There were 13 adults and 24 children whose age ranged from 2 to 13 years old. We had an amazing turn out of aunts with their children plus their nieces/nephews/cousins, there were single lead house parents and two parent lead families. It was welcoming to see fathers participating in our programming. It was a joy to see the mixture of different family units. Thank you all for supporting Malton Neighbourhood Services: BFSP. Please note our programs are opened to all genders, parents and caregivers, and family members of the Black communities. Enjoy the pictures and have an awesome day.
