Youth Outreach Worker (YOW)

The YOW helps “hard-to-reach” youth and their families connect with services in Malton. The YOW raises youth’s awareness of available community services, engages them in community programs, and strengthens partnerships among organizations that serves youths. When combining all of these aspects together, the YOW will inspire change in Malton’s  youth.

Personal Supportive Counselling

MNS provides personal supportive and informal counseling services to help youth manage personal relationships, set goals, and make self-identified life decisions. We provide a safe space for youth to converse about personal and social issues including: mental health, bullying, family problems, education, and employment-related concerns. Regarding employment, youths will get help to find summer and part-time jobs and/or volunteer work. Youth will get help to prepare for job interviews, with their resume/cover letter writing, and skills/career development.

Clinical Youth Outreach Worker (CYOW)

The CYOW helps “hard-to-reach” youth and their families connect with services in Peel Region. The CYOW provides one-on-one counselling and support services to youth, focusing on immediate needs and referring to long-term support services in the community. Through this form of support, the CYOW will work with youth to improve their mental health and well-being.
