International Women's Day
International Women’s Day is a celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women. Officially celebrated on March 8th every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated in more than 50 countries and in 2011 will have been celebrated for 100 years.
In 2010 MNS held a two-part event entitled 'Women's Mental Health: Striving for Balance in our Daily Lives."
Martha OCampo, Manager for Education and Resources at Across Boundaries, was the keynote speaker and reminded us that taking care and notice of our mental health is a positive thing and that we shouldn't shy away from talking about our mental health.
The second part of the event was an engaging panel discussion where
panellists answered some tough questions regarding numerous women's issues.
