Public Computers
Malton Neighbourhood Services offers free public access to computers, including internet, Microsoft Office applications, printing and more, at its head office, located at 3540 Morning Star Drive.
Available: Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m
Free Legal Clinic
We partner with Mississauga Community Legal Services to offer a free, walk-in legal clinic every Thursday from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at our location in Malton.
The services include free legal advice on:
- Ontario Works
- Ontario Disability Support Program
- Housing
*We also offer clients interpretation help in Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil and Spanish

Guidance - Youth Counselling Services
MNS provides counselling and personal supportive services to help youth manage personal relationships, set goals, and make self-identified life decisions. We provide a safe space for youth to converse about personal and social issues including: mental health, bullying, family problems, education, and employment-related concerns. Regarding employment, the counsellor helps youth to find summer, part-time, volunteer work. Youth will get help to prepare for job interviews, with their resume/cover letter writing, and skills/career development.

Homework Club
MNS offers a free, drop-in Homework Club for students in grades 1-8 who need help with their homework and school assignments. High school students can acquire community service hours by volunteering as tutors for this program.
The Homework club runs during the school year every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Malton Neighbourhood Services, 3540 Morning Star Drive.

Youth Groups
MNS staff facilitate safe, fun and educational youth, drop-in groups to help Malton youth become more self-aware and develop into responsible community members through participation in discussions, workshops, sports, arts/crafts and other social activities.
All youth groups are free to attend and are funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Young Girls Group (Ages 10-13)

Seasonal Camps & Student Employment
High school students volunteering with our homework club who demonstrate community services commitment and leadership skills may be asked to consider working as a summer camp counsellor for our summer camps.

Senior Services
MNS provides assistance for seniors in completing pensions, disability forms, income tax and other government forms.
We also host a series of free, drop-in groups for seniors, where participants may take part in crafts, games, gentle exercises, go on occasional trips and learn about topical matters such as osteoporosis, arthritis, keeping safe and more.
Malton Caribbean Seniors Group
Who: This group is open to all seniors and is conducted in English.
What: Participants play dominoes and other games, go on trips of interest, watch movies and engage in friendly discussions. Refreshments are provided.
Where: Multi-purpose room 1, Malton Community Centre, 3540 Morning Star Drive.
When: Every Monday 1:30 p.m.—3:30 p.m. Participants can join anytime.
How much: Free

South Asian Women's Group
Who: This group is open to senior women who identify with South Asian cultures. It is conducted in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
What: Participants learn about healthy eating and other education and information regarding safety issues and other community concerns. Members may take part in light exercise, knitting, crochet, discussions and more. Light refreshments are provided. Occasional field trips.

When: Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Participants can join anytime.

Italian Seniors Group for Men
Who: This group is open to men and is conducted in Italian.
What: Participants play cards and engage in friendly discussions. Coffee and Cookies are provided.

How much: $10 for one year. Participants can join anytime.

Italian Seniors Group for Women
Who: This group is open to women and is conducted in Italian.
What: Participants play bingo, engage in friendly discussions and have coffee and cookies.

How much: $5 for one year. Participants can join anytime.

Other useful information for seniors
Telecare Distress Centre provides a new TELECHECK program for Seniors. This free, confidential safety check-in and reassurance program provides emotional and listening support to seniors in need, assists with regular medication reminders and helps connect seniors with services available in their community.

Cultural Services
Malton Neighbourhood Services recognizes the diversity of the Malton Community through its everyday practices, the languages services are available in, special events and free drop-in groups that are targeted towards specific cultures.
Spanish Speaking Group
Who: Women who would like to use their Spanish speaking skills and/or wish to meet other Spanish speaking women to converse with.
What: Participants engage in friendly discussions on a wide-range of issues including, immigration, health and nutrition. Members also participate in dancing, arts and crafts and other fun activities.
Where: Upstairs at Malton Neighbourhood Services, 3540 Morning Star Drive.
When: The last Thursday of every month, from 4 p.m. - 6p.m. Participants can join anytime.

Women’s Advocacy Services
Malton Neighbourhood Services offers supportive services for women including free, personal supportive counselling for women who are experiencing abuse.
For new moms and moms-to-be, we also offer A Young Mom’s group.
Women’s Support Services
We offer free day- and evening support services for women through an anti-oppression and anti-racism perspective. We respect confidentiality.
Ask about:
- Our supportive, short-term counseling
- Resources and referrals within your community
- Our culturally-sensitive, one-to-one approach
- Support services to live violence free
- Connections for parenting support
- How we can assist with life skills – education, work, housing

Young Moms' Group
Welcome to Motherhood
Malton Neighbourhood Services facilitates a weekly peer/self-directed group for young moms featuring workshops about healthy living, parenting and motherhood.
MNS provides a light supper, food vouchers, bus tickets, and organizes occasional special trips. It is also a participant of the Chum City Christmas Wish.
- For young moms up to the age of 25, with children three months to six years old.
- Held at Malton Neighbourhood Services, 3540 Morning Star Drive, Mississauga.
- Participants must be registered through a referral system. Call 905 677-6270 for details.
The Wonder Years Play Group
Malton Neighbourhood Services also facilitates a peer-directed, interactive play group for mothers, focusing on healthy child development, parenting, nutrition and growth.
This group provides a healthy nutrition break, organizes occasional special trips and may provide bus tickets for participants to attend, if needed.
- For all mothers with children ages, newborn to six years old.
- Held every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Malton Neighbourhood Services, 3540 Morning Star Drive, Mississauga.
- This is a drop-in program; registration not required.
These groups are made possible through additional funding from CAPC (Community Action Program for Children).
